Ascot’s Off-Grid Hybrid Power Plant is a system that combines a PV Plant with traditional Diesel generators and accumulates the excess power generated in a energy storage unit, designed to guarantee the stability of power during any fluctuations that may occur.
Ascot’s innovative Hybrid technology allows to reach up to 100% PV penetration overcoming the actual problem of power instability experience with current technologies.

The core of the system is the Ascot PO.IN.S. power in-jector system that is a 4 quadrant inverter that merges the Diesel generators with the discontinuous solar source, without harming the genset and maintaining the stability of the power supply.
Thanks to this stability, guaranteed by the PO.IN.S., the solar penetration can reach 100%, by properly sizing the energy storage unit.
